An expressive setting of a Lenten Responsory. Lusitano explores the flat side of the Renaissance tonal universe to great effect, leading to harmonic progressions not often found in the 16th century. He also follows precedent at the start of the secunda pars by setting the word peccavimus to a rising semitone.
