A parody of a Song of Songs motet by Jean L’Héritier. Unusually for Palestrina, there are many more accidentals written in the music than we might expect and the overall sound world is much closer to that of Victoria and Spanish polyphony than the Italian school (there are even instances of false relations in the Credo).
