A motet featuring a canon in the top two voices. It was one of Guerrero’s most popular motets in the 16th century and today maintains its position as one of his most well-known compositions. Subsequently it was also used as a model for parody Masses by Flemish composer Géry de Ghersem and Spaniard Juan Esquivel.
